My name is Emerson Dunbar Haynes, Jr. I was born in the small town of Cassopolis, Mi. I’m married with a family of two children, a son and a daughter. I served in the armed forces of the Army and was overseas serving time in Vietnam. I have over 30 years experience in the Tool & Die industry. This job has many rewards but sometimes can be stressful. Listening to music relaxes me.
I’ve always enjoyed music and have also enjoyed playing several different instruments including the Harmonica, Trumpet, and Keyboards. I played in a band in the 70’s called “The Brotherhood”. During this time the band cut a single 45 record. I stayed with the band for over 10 years.
Some of my favorite artist include Eddie Floyd, Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Barry White and countless others that range in all different styles of music. I suffered a tragedy in 1980 with the loss of one of my sisters. Reevaluating my life took priority and I left the band. I continued on spending my spare time still practicing and playing in the basement of my home.
